3. Apply evenly to the skin one area at a time and blend in circular motions.

Should I be exfoliating between gradual tan applications?

As the result is buildable, there's no need to exfoliate between applications. We would, however, recommend you gently exfoliate with the less abrasive side of our Exfoliating Mitt once a week to maintain an even result and slough away any dead or dull skin.

Should I be using a gradual or instant tanner?

A gradual tanner will provide a subtle and buildable result over a number of days. An instant tanner contains is a wash-off solution that will instantly provide a hit of colour where you need. If you want your glow to last, opt for a gradual tanner; if you're more comfortable with being able to wash it away at the end of the day, opt for an Instant Tanner. They can also be used together to boost your overall glow.
