WE ARE PROUD TO SUPPORT BREAST CANCER AWARENESS:
T*TS & TANNING THURSDAYS

Tanning Your Boobs Isn’t Just Fun & Feel-Good – It Could Save Your Life.

The Statistics

It’s estimated that 1 in 7 women will be affected by breast cancer in their lifetime.

It’s the most common cancer amongst women aged 25-49, with around 2300 aged 39 or under being diagnosed every year.*

With that in mind, it’s rather worrying to know that only 29% of women aged 18-35 years old check their boobs monthly; and only 50% of women would immediately visit their doctor upon discovering early signs and symptoms**

Our Charity Partner

Although breast cancer is rare in younger people, it can still happen. Which is why we’re proud to have partnered with Coppafeel! – the UK’s only breast cancer awareness charity for young people. Their aim is to talk about a serious message in a light-hearted way, empowering people to start healthy habits for life. WE’RE HERE FOR IT! 👏

“We want everyone to have the best possible chance of surviving breast cancer. Ideally we want to live in a world where all breast cancers are diagnosed at the earliest stage possible, at which treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher.” CoppaFeel!

"Checking your boobs isn’t just fun; it could save your life. We’re so proud to have partnered with CoppaFeel! to achieve great things and spread the importance of regularly checking your breasts.”

Hayley Hall, Skinny Tan’s Head of Brand

An easy routine to get into:
T*ts & Tanning Thursdays!

We know that you guys love tanning.
We know that many of you have your weekly tanning routine nailed.
We know that Thursdays are the #1 day for you to get your tan on.
So we’re making
T*TS & TANNING THURSDAYS  a thing!

Every time you tan we’re encouraging you to get to know your boobs (have a little squeeze why don’t you!) so that if any changes do arise, you’re hot on the case to do something about it and speak to your GP.

“We were so excited to partner with Skinny Tan! By helping us spread our vital message of the importance of checking your boobs, pecs or chest regularly, and by raising vital funds for us to continue our work, Skinny Tan and its community have made a huge difference to our mission."  Jenna Chick, Partnerships Manager, CoppaFeel!

Get those knockers out: How to check your boobs

STEP 1: Get ready for your tanning sesh and remove that bra!
You’ll want to focus on the area from your armpit, across and beneath your boobs, and up to your collarbone.

STEP 2: Check yourself out.
Using a mirror, have a look for any changes in size, outline or shape. Take note of any changes in skin, such as puckering or dimpling.
Tip: If you are able, try looking with your arms both raised and down by your sides.

STEP 3: Cop a feel.
Using your hands, feel around to identify any lumps, bumps or skin thickening which is different from the opposite side. Also, be aware of any constant or unusual pain.

STEP 4: Look at each of your nipples.
Be aware of any nipple discharge that's not milky, as well as any bleeding, rash or crusting on or around your nipple area.
Tip: It's normal for boobs to hurt around your period, but if the pain is different or there more often then get it checked out.

If you notice anything that doesn’t feel normal, monitor it for a week and book an appointment with your doctor.
